I want to start by saying Stephen is prompt when sending texts and emails, however he seriously lacks in-person support when house hunting. Throughout my husband and i’s home searching journey with Stephen, which lasted about 4 months, Stephen neglected to show up in person completely. When we would show up to open houses or showings of homes, the other real estate agents asked us where Stephen was throughout the entire process, and it was embarrassing because they all insinuated he lacked competence and that it is not good practice for agents to not show up and support their clients. We initially defended Stephen, however after a horrible incident which I will detail below, I can confirm their assumptions. When we finally found a place to purchase, Stephen was not present once again. When it came time for Stephen to be at the property to aid us with all the inspectors, he informed us he would not show up, citing a vacation as the reason. Rare properties sent another individual named Tom, who was more helpful than Stephen. I wish he was our agent instead. After we decided to purchase our house, Stephen still not once made an effort to be here In Person. After closing, we did our final walkthrough by ourselves because once again, he could not be there due to another vacation. Because of this, there was a huge lack of help and communication, resulting in myself and my husband being locked out of our home when it was time to move in. When we contacted Stephen, rightfully frustrated with the lack of support, he attempted to blame us for being locked out of our home, saying we should have “known to not lock the bottom locks” of the house. This felt very belittling. How would we know not to lock up our house, if he was not present to explain that to us? He promised to send us a housewarming gift and then ghosted us after we insisted he cover the locksmith cost to help us get back into our home, which was the bare minimum that could have been done to resolve the situation. Not once did we get an authentic apology from him due to this serious inconvenience. If you want a real estate agent who is in person and on top of things, I would strongly suggest finding another agent.

Stephen is a truly valuable individual who goes above and beyond for his clients. Working first hand with Stephen on the lending side of real estate, he makes himself available at all times of the day and exceeds expectations with strong communication and knowledge of the LA market. I am grateful to work with Stephen and hope for continued success in the future!

I have spoken to Stephen on multiple occasions in regards to my real estate needs and he has always been very prompt in responding and his knowledge and connections to find us what we need is impressive. He really has a good pulse on the real estate in Los Angeles, great guy and easy to work with.
