Our experience with Jim Zakhar Sr and his team was more than fantastic! In fact it was exceptional in every way! Jim's excellent work and professionalism resulted in selling my mother-in-law's home in about 1-month. In fact there was only one open house and we received almost 50-offers and many at much higher than the asking price. There's a lot more to this story which I'll share below but the bottom line is that there is no other real estate company we would ever hire to sell another home for us in Orange County other than Jim Zakhar Sr and The Zakhar team! Below is the rest of the story for anyone interested in reading more details. My husband grew up in Anaheim and his mother still lived in that same home totaling almost 60-years. Just over 3-years ago during Covid she fell and that resulted in her moving in with her daughter and son-in-law nearby in Garden Grove. At the same time her daughter was fighting a battle with cancer and traveled back and forth to Texas with her husband for treatment. Initially they stayed with us the first 6-months and later other more convenient locations because the treatment center was here in Houston Texas. While they were in Texas other family members helped to care for my mother-in-law back in California. To complicate matters further my sister-in-law was not only fighting cancer but she was also the primary caregiver for her mother (my mother-in-law) and for another family member living in the home, plus several pets. Unfortunately my sister-in-law passed away a few months ago making the living situation for my mother-in-law no longer possible with her increasing care needs. So Mom agreed to move in with us out in Texas, which was wonderful but it also brought with it a lot of responsibility on our part to include selling her home in Anaheim. So during a critical life transition in our family and while living out of state we asked for realtor referrals from our Bible study class in Texas for a realtor in Orange County. We were thrilled to be referred to Jim Zakhar Jr and ultimately worked primarily with his father Jim Zakhar Sr who also founded their organization. Note: The person who referred us to them had a parent who also lived in Orange County and went through the same situation as us. So given the strong recommendation we had for the Zakhar team and after meeting Jim Zakhar Sr and his two sons only once, we hired them on the spot. They went to work immediately on our behalf and went way above and beyond to ready the house, get it on the market and to sell it in about 1-month. In fact they did all of this while we stayed in Texas to include hiring contractors to remove the contents of items and furnishings collected for almost 60 years, to clear the overgrown front and back yards and to make necessary repairs that were needed before the open house. Along the way Jim kept us updated with emails, text messages, pictures and phone calls and they always provided solutions and never problems for us and during such a critical time in our family. As a result of their efforts, courtesy, professionalism and the like, I give them my highest recommendation and hope this review will result in many more clients for their firm.
