TL:DR, Justin Wehlauch and his team are amazing and I could not more highly recommend them if you are looking to buy a home. We just closed on and moved into our new home, all thanks to Justin Wehlauch and his team here. Justin was there for us in every possible way, including a very long day yesterday moving in (and I mean hands on helping us move well into the later hours of the evening). Justin made it clear from the start he’s not your average realtor, and continued to show that throughout our transaction. He made every step of the process simple and seamless. It all started with making sure we sat down together and outlined the entire process start to finish, so we knew what to expect at each turn. He had us make a dream list the first time we spoke and found us a home that checked every single box! Justin talks about relationships over transactions, which leaves big shoes to fill. I am so happy to say he proved he means it and more. There is always a level of apprehension when letting an “outsider” into such a delicate and important decision such as buying a home, but that went away with Justin almost immediately. This started out as just a transaction and turned into a great friendship and one that will last far beyond just buying our first home. If you are looking to buy a house, there is no one better to help you than Justin Wehlauch and his team.

I worked with Justin Wehlauch - made the home buying process easier than I thought it could be. TLDR; I could not recommend Justin and his team enough if you're looking for a realtor. We spent about 8 months looking after first reaching out, and they made a point of frequently sending us listings that fit our needs. As first time buyers we had plenty of questions: not only did Justin give informative answers to everything we asked, but he was remarkably patient throughout. Once we found the home we wanted to buy, he made every step simple - I was prepared for everything to be so much more difficult than it was under his care. He'd call and say that X needs to be done, but he knew a guy, and it was already underway. He gave us a straightforward list of what we needed to do, why, how, and how much it would cost. After a radon inspection failed, he called to say what needed to be done, who he recommended for it, and that he would get the ball rolling immediately. I asked: "Do I need to do anything, call anyone, or pay for anything?" And he said: "No, I've got your back". If anything is indicative of the Justin Wehlauch/ ReMax experience, it's that.

I started searching for a home in Bloomington for my mom back in January 2021. I was having a hard time finding a realtor that we felt truly wanted to help my mom and I. I worked with 2 agents for months with really nothing to show for it. Days would go by after I reached out asking to get a showing scheduled that by the time they responded back to me the houses were already contingent. Houses were being sold within days of being listed, so their lack of response was extremely frustrating, especially considering I live two hours away near Chicago and would drive to town to see houses only to get no replies or call backs. BUT then we can came across Jeff Tod! Not only was Jeff super responsive and acted with urgency but he actually took the time to discuss with my mom and I what we were looking for (which was a lot). My mom (who is not easy to impress & old school) trusted Jeff and always wanted to make sure we got his opinion on each house we saw for her. It took a lot of searching but Jeff stuck with us through it all until we found the perfect house for her! It's just a 4 minute walk to my moms work, 4 bedrooms, enclosed porch, 2 bathrooms, and the perfect size yard for her. My boyfriend and I were so impressed with Jeff that not only did we make the decision to move to Bloomington to be closer to my family but we asked Jeff to look for our Bloomington home too!
