I rented a house managed by Allan for 3 years. He was civil, until it came to move out. He violated the contract, which states we have to remedy any deficits prior to him keeping the deposit and attempted to keep $2,700 of the deposit without informing us of any "deficits". He also wanted to charge a $650 cleaning fee, stating the house was "filthy", although his own agent commented that the cleaning job was great, and I spent $700 on deep cleaning the house prior to moving out. After providing almost no evidence of damage to the house (aside from photos of preexisting damage), he finally gave us more of the money back, but still kept $800. The return of the deposit check was also late. He was rigid about the move out time - we had requested an additional two weeks (or at least a few extra days) beyond the lease, since my husband was out of the country during the move out date. Allan was demanding a full month rent for the extra time, so we left at the original move out time, and moved with my husband outside the country. Allan was great about promptly responding to concerns about repairs, but the repairs were often half finished. For example, a leak from the upstairs bathroom was repaired, but the ceiling was never painted. The repairman told Allan multiple times that the front door, which was warped, needed to be replaced, which never happened. The backyard grass also died due to the neglected repairs on the sprinkler system.

My 93 yr old father has been trying get a hold of this guy for several months and all my father gets is the run around. How can any responsible person do this to the elderly. Of he can not help well tell him otherwise man up.
