Had high expectations when I first met Li-Li with Nakamura reality to rent an apartment on Berkeley Way. However, once I met Eric at the Nakamura office, I immediately regretted ever contacting the office. After walking into the dingy, uninhabited office building to sign my lease, he began arguing with me about a $10/month fee to park. He even called Li-Li, the rental agent, into the office and interrogated her in front of us about whether or not she specified the parking price when she showed the property. He rudely interrupted her and began yelling. Next, he began badmouthing a current tenant of the apartment complex. When I said that the current tenant said parking was free, he responded "It is free for her, but I am going to begin charging her, to show her to not run her mouth." I consulted with my girlfriend and decided that we did not want to have a landlord who would make enemies out of his tenants and show his temper and chauvinistic side to potential new tenants. When I informed him we were not going to lease the apartment anymore because of his attitude and anger, he practically knocked me down grabbing the lease out of my hand. I demanded that he shred it. He later blamed his outrage on a bad day, however it is not worth the risk dealing with someone like that. I would NEVER EVER recommend anyone, including my worst enemies, to rent from Nakamura Reality. I would stay as far from any property managed by this company as possible.

I am tenant in one of their properties @ Roosevelt Ave. Responsiveness is outstanding, the maintenance efforts on the building are also great and Li-Li is really friendly and helpful. I can recommend.

Horrible. Negligent to their tenants. I recently moved someone out of a property operated by this agency and it was absolutely disgusting. The building flooded and the tenants were left with the burden of repairs. One passed away and the other was very Ill from black mold inhalation. Please do your due diligence when working with this company as they will take advantage.

I have some investment properties that I inherited from my Father. I needed paperwork for the courts and had to go through Mr. Eric Kawakami. I was under a deadline and had to push the broker for quick work. He did not have a compliant about this. He got me all the answers I needed for court by just a little pasted the asked for deadline. But everything worked out fine. I will use this office again if needed
