We had such an amazing experience with buying our first house with Charles! There are so many things to say that it’s hard to know where to start. We actually had a friend who recommended Charles to us when we were trying to find a real estate agent. We scheduled an in person meeting with Charles, he was super responsive and flexible from the beginning. He’s very personable and friendly and generally easygoing so we liked him from the start. We had other agents that we were going to try to meet with before choosing who to work with but we ended up deciding that we really wanted to work with Charles and never even met the others. He asked us a lot of detailed questions about our preferences and must-haves in a house in our first meeting, and made us a customized list of houses for us to look at through the compass app. We realized as we started to go see houses with Charles that there were a lot of smaller things we hadn’t really thought/decided about and he gave us a lot of insightful advice that helped us to weigh the pros and cons of certain decisions. I was really impressed that he remembered a lot about what was important to us and what we liked or didn’t like about specific houses we had visited, especially as there would be a couple weeks in between our house visiting trips. We probably looked at 15-ish houses total in person (and spent countless hours scrolling through other options online as well), and there was one we saw earlier on that we had liked initially, enough to ask Charles to give the seller’s agent an FYI about our interest. We had trouble deciding if we wanted to make an offer on it, especially as it was at the top of our budget. Throughout the process, Charles was super patient with us and helped us look at pros and cons without pressuring us to decide one way or the other (we had multiple conversations over text and in person with him about this particular place over the course of a month or so). Once we decided to put in an offer, Charles was super helpful throughout the whole escrow process. I can’t even remember what exactly we had to do, I just know that there was a lot of paperwork to look through and Charles would keep us on top of what was next to be done and by what time it had to be done by. He helped us arrange the inspections and he even looked up and scheduled on site appointments to get estimates from some contractors for our home renovation projects while we were still in escrow so that we could make arrangements to start once we closed. He even gifted us a house cleaning service once we moved in and gave us a personalized gift box, which we thought was super thoughtful of him. I definitely would recommend Charles to anyone who’s looking for a real estate agent. We really enjoyed working with him and appreciated his help, his insight and just the time spent together. We really appreciated his calm demeanor and easy-going personality as it helped us to stay calm in the face of big decisions and potentially stressful situations. I know he also did a lot of hard work on his end to make things easier for us. Overall, he made the process really easy and as stress-free as it could be for us and we were so thankful we had the opportunity to work with him!
