Jim Tripodes is a top notch real estate agent. He is personable, trustworthy, and honest. It was obvious to us that he has tons of knowledge based on decades of experience. Jim helped us find a new home this summer after our family lost our home in the Eaton Fire. He went above and beyond what he needed to do to help our family. He was very thorough in completing his own inspection of the home, and extremely helpful in arranging all the inspections that were required. He put in the extra effort to call us and carefully talk us through every complicated step in the process. We felt safe with him, and he made our job easier by doing the hard stuff for us. We really felt that Jim had our best interests in mind. He was very careful to make sure that the home was good for our family and that we got the best price for it. We’ll go back to Jim for our real estate needs in the future. Highly recommend!!

Jim is an excellent agent with whom I would happily work with again. He helped my wife and I purchase a house in the Spring of 2026 in the Atwater Village area. He came to us as a referral from a friend who had also worked with him. Before we even went to look at properties, he spent time quite a bit of time on the phone together, discussing what we were looking for, what we knew we wanted to avoid, and general guidance that was absolutely necessary for first time homebuyers. We then went to see a few properties, only intending on dipping our toes into the homebuying process, as we had a rental we really liked. In those first few viewings, Jim taught us an incredible amount about what to look for in a home and what to ask the seller’s agent. He was never pushy, always cautious to suggest what a place might eventually sell for until he crunched the numbers on nearby properties. He approaches homes on your terms, and he understands them as a living space and an investment. Together, we found a wonderful home in Atwater, our preferred neighborhood, with a beautiful back yard. We put in an offer (our first!) and it was accepted. Jim shepherded us through the Escrow process — inspections, working with our lenders, finding insurance — like an experienced professional. I couldn’t imagine navigating buying a house without his help. I highly recommend working with Jim!

If you had to use one word to describe Jim as a Realtor, it would be pro. My wife and I lost our home of 18 years in the fires of Altadena and when we decided to look for a house. My good friend in NYC who is a well-known realtor give me 4 names of the best in the SGV. I vetted all 4 and there was no question that Jim was our guy. He was there to educate and help us always on time. I never felt once working with him that he put his commission or his own interest above us. He always had our best interest and saved us a lot of money and stopped us from making bad decisions. We are so glad we found him. Can’t say enough good things about the guy. Even after the sale was done, he was there to help. Guys like that are hard to find in this day and age. We also love our new house and know exactly what we were buying, no unwanted hidden surprises.
