The decision to sell the family home after thirty years and the loss of my spouse was not easy to make and hard to achieve given the whirlwind of emotion and activity following her passing. I realized I needed help and the professional kind that could help direct and manage the process as efficiently as possible. I had watched Scott Himelstein build his presence in the neighborhood over the years and after attending a seller’s seminar that he hosted knew that he and his team would be able to handle my situation proactively and in a timely fashion. I am a believer in choosing the best professional to do the job and then letting them do it and listening to their advice. After thirty years, upgrades were necessary and the property needed to be positioned in a way that would attract the widest possible interest. Scott’s concierge program and his team of contractors, gardeners, and stagers pulled together a transformation that turned our home into something that could be viewed as more than just a blank canvas, but a starting point for a new owner. This was all achieved in around a month and with support and understanding to what it meant to me. Once a buyer was found, the escrow was handled smoothly and sale was completed without incident. Would I do anything differently? Maybe, I would pay for an inspection of the home and learn more of the structural changes that had developed over the years and directed more of the work to address those issues and less on the cosmetic upgrades, but that is only because we had a motivated buyer who was keen to make an offer before the renovations were finished. Either way, what was one of the most difficult periods of my life was brought to an end in no small part due to the expertise and attention to detail of Scott and his team: for that I will always be grateful.

Scott was simply fantastic in helping us remodel and sell our family home earlier this year. If you're looking for an agent, you can stop looking because Scott is an expert that is 100% aligned with your best interests. He provided excellent advice on whether it made sense to sell the home as-is or to undertake a remodeling project before selling. We decided to go down the remodeling path and used his Concierge Plus service, which was amazing because he managed the entire process. All we had to do was remove our belongings. From there, his team transformed the house into a modern gem without us having to lift a finger or write checks to contractors. The project turned out so well that my mom considered staying in the house. The home was beautifully staged, and Scott created a wonderful video as part of the marketing process. After receiving multiple offers in the span of a week, Scott guided us in choosing the best one and diligently handled all of the necessary logistics to ensure the transaction closed without a hitch. Renovating and selling a home can be extremely stressful and time-consuming, but it was so easy and seamless with Scott. We highly recommend him. He was on top of every detail throughout the process, understood how to maximize value for us, and most importantly, was a pleasure to work with.

Selling my parents’ house was… an adventure. Between the emotional side of it and 40+ years of accumulated “we might need this someday” items, we knew we needed someone who could handle the whole process without giving us a heart attack. The house also wasn’t exactly your typical easy sale. It was a flag lot with not a ton of property, so we knew it would take the right agent with the right approach. After getting a bunch of recommendations from friends and local Facebook groups, we interviewed a few agents. Scott Himmelstein immediately stood out because he was just real. No cheesy realtor lines, no fake hype, no rolling up in a 911, no pretending every house is a “stunning entertainer’s dream.” Just honest, knowledgeable, and straightforward. Scott basically handled everything. Clean out, staging, repairs, vendors, all of it. At one point I’m pretty sure he was ready to grab tools and start fixing things himself..I think he did. And while I won’t say he put lipstick on a pig… he definitely dressed the place up REALLY well. The staging looked amazing, the social media posts and videos made the house look like it belonged on Zillow Gone Wild in a good way, and he somehow made a tricky property stand out. End result: smooth sale, way less stress, and now I understand why everyone in the North Valley kept recommending him. Being in sales, you want every client to feel like they are your only client. Scott made you feel that way. If you want an agent who actually works, knows how to market a property, and doesn’t act like a reality TV realtor, Scott’s your guy.
